Autism Service

Autism affects people throughout their lives, preventing them from communicating and relating to those around them and making everyday social interaction difficult or even impossible.

Our aim is to enable adults with autism and complex needs to develop social skills, increase their independence and play an active part in their local community. You will make this a reality by leading a large, diverse team in the delivery of individualised support to our service users living in a registered care home. Ensuring the house’s smooth running, you’ll also motivate staff, review care provision, set the standards and liaise with key partner agencies. It’s a real challenge, but the rewards are huge.

You will have experience of and an understanding of supporting people with autism, as well as enthusiasm for developing a person centred service for this client group.  Central to this role are your outstanding management skills, and your ability to lead and motivate the team.  You will be supported by two Deputy Managers who have a wealth of specialist knowledge, as well as access to external professionals with whom you will develop strong working relationships. Experience of managing people, enthusiasm, energy and creativity will be key to your success in this highly rewarding role.

In return we offer excellent benefits, including attractive basic salary plus enhancements, pension scheme, 25 days holiday and comprehensive training and development options.

Salary £30,000 to 32,000
