Daily or weekly support

Two-thirds of the vulnerable adults Yarrow supports have a tenancy on their own flats - a reflection of the growing number of people with learning disabilities wishing to live independently. Many live next door to or nearby other Yarrow service users, enabling them to make friends and support each other if they so choose. Support is also available from Yarrow staff to advise individuals with tasks ranging from safety at home to shopping and cooking and from personal finance to forming relationships. For some people, daily or weekly support will focus on a particular area of need, such as travelling on public transport, preparing food or paying bills, whilst for others it will vary each day.

The Care Quality Commission’s latest rating for Yarrow’s domiciliary care (home support) service is 3 stars ‘excellent’.
