Housing Management

As a Registered Social Landlord, our Housing Management Department is a unique, one-stop service for service users and care staff, that ensures that users' rights and responsibilities as tenants, are promoted and protected.

We inform users of their terms and conditions of tenancy or license agreement - using a variety of methods, one of which is a pictorial guide.

Every user - or their support worker - can then approach us if they have a query on these terms and conditions - for example, a maintenance issue - and we approach them if they are in breach of their agreement.

We ensure that a consistent, comprehensive and effective service is maintained and that our high environmental and quality standards are upheld.

Transition

Yarrow works on the basis that delivering the right services depends on the right assessments. We place great emphasis on in-depth assessments which evaluate the support the service user needs in order to make the best choice about a service that will suit them.

Once a choice has been made, the emphasis is on assisting the service user in planning and preparing for a smooth, stress-free and unhurried transition. Transition services are tailored to each service user's individual needs and involve Yarrow's staff working closely with existing Key Workers.

Adapting the Environment

Our Housing Service Department's priority is to meet the changing needs of service users through the development and adaptation of their environment. This can make a profound and real difference to an individuals quality of life.

We assist service users in:

  • The procurement and refurbishment of their room or property
  • Commissioning adaptations to existing properties e.g. lift installations or kitchen refurbishment

These services are designed to reduce the risk of injury for service users, increase their independence and maintain the high standard of their home.
